There are many opportunities for dancers at Gorse Hill Studios. We have a large mirrored space dedicated to this art-form which is always vibrant and never short of creative energy.
The dance studio is available for bookings and is used regularly by the best dance groups in Manchester. We offer dance sessions for beginners as well as more advanced dancers. Participants can gain an Arts Award accreditation using dance as their artform.
Monday 4pm-5.30pm – Dancers arts award
If you are completing an arts award and you need to do some of the evidence for your portfolio I am available now to go through your files with you and discuss what is needed.
Monday 6pm-7.30pm - Creative dance session starting soon
Class looking at contemporary dance vocabulary, choreography and working together to create pieces for performance. Alternatively, if you are stuck with your GCSE dance choreography and you are looking for some ideas, get in touch or come along.
Tuesday 5.30pm-7pm - Street dance: Under 13 years/Beginners
Open class looking to build on taught street dance routines. Improve your coordination, confidence and dance ability by having a go!
Tuesday 7pm-8.30pm - Street dance: Over 13 years/intermediate
If you have street dance experience already, and you are looking for a more advanced class, then this is for you.
Thursday 5.30-8pm - Advanced Dance
Dance training for serious dancers who want to be involved in street dance groups with opportunities to be involved in competitions and complete your arts award. (See Christina or Louise to be involved in this class.)
