Gorse Hill Studios is a popular youth music and arts facility dedicated to developing young peoples creativity. Located in Gorse Hill, Stretford, Manchester, the centre is part of Trafford Children & Young Peoples Services.
We provide high quality workshops, activities and opportunities in music making, dance, drama, film, digital arts and photography. We also organise youth events, showcases, plays, gigs, performances, festivals throughout the year.
We design and deliver a variety of exciting projects in music and the arts for individuals, groups as well as organisations. We provide ongoing support, development and signpost young talent to further opportunities that may be suitable for them.
Facilities
In the summer of 2000 a professional recording studio was built in the back of the arts centre which made the centre even more popular. This was the first recording studio dedicated to young people in Greater Manchester.
The centre is also home to a professional mirrored dance studio, a midi music classroom/ digital arts studio, a fully equipped rehearsal room, a DJ Room and an Art Space/ Fashion Design Studio.
We have also have broadcast quality cameras and editing gear for professional film making, and a new Performance Studio with staging and seating
