Come and join the brand new Gorse Hill Studios choir and sing your heart out in style!

Led by International Reggae Star -Sylvia Tella – this choir will give you the opportunity to learn about harmonies, create your own melodies and take part in performances.  You will also gain new singing tips and vocal exercises.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from a reggae royalty and living legend.   Sylvia Tella has toured the world with Boney M & Steel Pulse. She has also performed alongside the likes of Luciano, Frankie Paul,Gregory Isaacs,  Ernest Ranglin and Tony Rebel.

The Gorse Hill Studios Choir is starting on Tuesday 24th of April at 5PM-6.30PM

Sessions cost £3 .

Don’t Miss the Let’s Be Blunt Film Project Pancake Day Special! Free workshops & pancakes

‘Lets Be Blunt’ is  an innovative digital filmmaking project, that explores knife-crime.  Young Filmmakers will learn hands on film making skills and gain new digital arts skills using state of the art production equipment at Gorse Hill Studios.

You will write scripts, direct and edit short films and produce online content. You will also compose and produce an original soundtrack to the film in the Gorse Hill Studios recording studio.

As part of our next phase of the project, we’re hosting a Knife Crime information and awareness day.

Come down and take part in one of our workshops and find out the facts and myths about knife crime.  It’s also Pancake day, so we’ll be providing some delicious pancakes as well!

Workshops will include, Filmmaking, Drama, Dance & Visual Arts. The workshops are all FREE and will take place between 3.30 PM- 6.30 PM.  If you are interested in becoming a budding film director and would like to take part in the ‘Let’s Be Blunt Film Project, give us a call on 0161 912 5251.

The BLUNT Project will recruit young people and develop 3 groups based in various parts of Trafford, who will meet to create 10 short films using professional equipment . The participants will be responsible from writing the scripts, filming, directing and editing the films.  The films will vary in style and content.  The young film makers will get the chance t let their imagination run wild.

The films will then be promoted around Trafford and beyond.  The project will have an interactive edge and people who have seen the films will get the chance to create their own responses by making their own films and sharing them as well.

The films and responses will be toured around schools and youth centres.

If you are interested in getting involved come along to our  first Taster Drop In Sessions which, will take place on:

  • Monday 19th December 4PM -5PM and 7Pm-8PM at Gorse Hill Studios
  • Tuesday 10th January 4PM-5PM and 7PM -8PM at The Fuse

During this time she has taken part in a variety of activities such as fashion design, photography, sewing and creative writing as well as cookery and rockclimbing.  She is working towards a Silver Art Award. (Check out her review HERE )

Stephanie hosted her own exhibition at Gorse Hill Studios on Wednesday 19th of October from 4PM-5PM which was attended and admired by many people

The exhibition featured all the dresses designed by Stephanie as well as photographs and illustrations of her work throughout the last 2 years.
